Overview

JS Event Ops ("we," "us") provides scheduling, staffing, time-tracking, and crew-communication software for event production companies. This page explains what information we collect through jseventops.com, and how information handled by the JS Event Ops software itself is treated.

This website

jseventops.com is a static informational site. It does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts. The "Request a walkthrough" form on this site does not submit data to a server we control — it opens your own email application with a message addressed to info@jseventops.com. We only receive what you choose to send in that email.

The JS Event Ops software

JS Event Ops is deployed as self-hosted software, installed and run on infrastructure controlled by the event production company that licenses it (referred to below as "the operator"). Because of this:

• Schedules, crew records, time entries, pay rates, uploaded documents, and event chat messages are stored on the operator's own server and database, not on servers we control.
• We do not host, access, or receive this operational data as part of normal use of the software.
• The operator is the data controller for information about its own crew, and is responsible for maintaining its own privacy notice and complying with the privacy and employment laws that apply to its workforce and location.

Information the software may collect (by the operator, about crew members)

Depending on how an operator configures and uses the software, the categories of information it is built to handle include:

• Account information: name, email, phone number
• Scheduling information: shift assignments, call times, availability/blockout dates
• Time-tracking information: clock-in/out timestamps, GPS location at clock-in/out, meal break records
• Pay information: hourly rate, computed regular/overtime/double-time hours (visible only to admins and the crew member it belongs to)
• Documents: event layouts, blueprints, and other files uploaded by the operator
• Communications: messages posted in per-event group chat
• Device information: a push-notification token, if the operator has notifications enabled

We do not receive copies of this data. Questions about how a specific operator collects, uses, or protects this information should be directed to that operator, not to us.

Security

Because each deployment is self-hosted, security depends substantially on how the operator configures and maintains their own server (access control, backups, software updates, network security). We recommend operators follow standard security practices for any system that stores employee data.

Children's privacy

JS Event Ops is business software intended for use by employers and their adult workforce. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
